COVID-19 Policy

At Body Mechanics, in order to provide the utmost protection to our patients & community, we utilize a 100% staff vaccination policy and recommend universal masking . Staff & Patients are asked to reschedule and quarantine if they are experiencing COVID19 symptoms, received a positive test result or upon any possible exposure. We follow data from the NYC Dept. of Health and CDC guidelines to develop our clinic policies. The clinic utilizes central HEPA filtration and additional public area air purification. Each treatment room and pod has its own standalone air purification device. All treatment room and public touch surfaces are disinfected between patients. Masks, hand sanitizer and temperature checks are freely provided to all guests upon entry to our facility.


Masking is RECOMMENDED.

  • Masks are recommended during reception, in waiting areas and during intake.

  • Surgical Masks provided.

  • N95, KN95, KF94 are the most protective masks. 

Cessation of Treatment

  • If any of these policies are breached, without express written exception by BMA Clinic Manager or Director, Body Mechanics Acupuncture reserves the right to cease treatment and cancel existing appointments at any time during the treatment cycle; notice will be given in writing by email & letter.   

 

COVID-19 Rescheduling Policy: 

  • Please note: Reschedule in the event of any of the following symptoms:


  • Sneezing

  • New “allergy” symptoms

  • Fever & Chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath

  • Fatigue

  • Body Aches

  • Headache

  • Loss of Taste or Smell

  • Sore Throat

  • Congestion or Runny Nose

  • Nausea

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea 


Rescheduling: 

  • Please reschedule if you’re experiencing any of the listed symptoms or were exposed to anyone who tests positive or suspects they are symptomatic for COVID-19 and consider getting yourself tested for COVID-19.

  • PCR tests remain the most accurate tests for COVID-19. In the case of exposure, it is best to get tested 3-5 days after contact with a known-positive person. Please see below for more information on exposure.

  • Please reschedule as far in advance as possible, online, by phone, text or email. Our normal 12 hour rescheduling requirement & $50 late fee will be suspended in event of possible Covid-19 exposure or symptoms.
