Gina Russom: Clinic Manager
Gina grew up in Chama, New Mexico where her family owns Foster’s Hotel, Restaurant and Saloon. Gina and Tabitha met as undergraduates in the Great Books program at St. Johns College in Annapolis, Maryland and later they worked together at Tri-State College of Acupuncture, where Tabitha received her Master’s degree.
As the Clinic Manager at Body Mechanics Acupuncture, Gina is committed to helping you manage appointment scheduling and navigate the giant tangle that is insurance coverage and benefits. Gina lives in Brooklyn with her 3 cats - she’d love to show you pictures!
At BMA we are committed to sharing acupuncture with as many New Yorkers as possible, so we began accepting insurance to help more people receive acupuncture at a lower cost. As a result, right now we are are covered by many Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Oscar insurance plans; as more and more doctors and insurance companies realize the benefits acupuncture offers, the more likely they are to cover appointments at BMA!
The truth is, finding out exactly how much a certain plan by a certain insurance company will pay for services can be a hassle, which is where Gina comes in! She will happily call your insurance for you, and stay up-to-date on changes in coverage so you know exactly what’s covered and what’s not.
