Instagram: Sometimes people cry..

Sometimes people cry during acupuncture treatments and it’s not just because of the needles. You know acupuncture’s good for stress relief but why? Well it works on many levels by calming down your nervous system from fight-or-flight mode to rest-and-digest by stimulating your body to release Dopamine, keep more active Serotonin, Oxytocin, and Endorphins to lift your mood and balance your brain functioning. I treat a lot of folks with chronic high stress who are irritable and/or feel overly sensitive and also people with diagnosed anxiety and depression and they all find lasting relief by adding acupuncture to their other forms of support. Your body isn’t just a bag of meat, everything that happens to you from emotional experiences to physical trauma to repetitive habits leaves its mark on the way your bones, muscles, organs and nervous system develops and functions. Acupuncture works to unwind some of that embodied memory, helping you remember who you are, see who you can be and learn how to balance yourself and your life better. So when people cry during acupuncture I tell them it’s great, you’re learning about yourself, you’re remembering who you are, you’re letting go of stuff you don’t need anymore, you’ll feel lighter when you get up...and they do! #acupunctureworks #bodymechanics #anxiety #stress #anger #rage #pain #suffering #depressionsucks #anxietyhelp #anxietyrecovery #depressionrecovery #stressrelief #peace #balance #mind #thoughts #ocd #ocdrecovery #heart #emotional #feels
